Our large and stimulating room is filled with children's brightly decorated displays showing planned and child centred themes and topics.
Through group time and circle times we allow the children to talk freely about their experiences which we then encourage them to develop through art and crafts, imaginative and constructive play. The children have access to everyday technology including their own PC, digital camera and tape/CD player.
The Big Ted's staff are mature and knowledgeable. They are there as a constant support to the children's learning. They work to the Edinburgh Council pre-school curriculum and provide a wide variety of themes, topics and activities, all of which are specially formulated to create and stimulate interest and knowledge.
Children in the Big Ted's are continuously monitored and as well as daily feedback, parents also have special evenings in which they can discuss their child's development and be involved in the formulation of the children's activity programmes.
